PEACE!!!

Every human being is biologically identical. Even though a person may be a Christian, a Muslim, or a Hindu, there is no change in the biological properties of a person, as he just belongs to the species called “homo sapiens”. Although all human beings belong to the same species, but their beliefs differ according to their own religions. Being biologically same, one person doesn’t eat meat, while other doesn’t drink alcohol. Thus, people live in a same society, but they act according to their own beliefs, cultures, traditions, customs, etc.

Though many people think that they have been following their religion, but many are just following their traditions. Since people hardly read their religious books (scriptures), they hardly know what these scriptures actually command. The backbone of every religion is the religious books associated with it. But many of us do not know the information in our religious books at all.

As every religion talks about God and good things, it is obvious that all these religious books have many things in common. Whether Islam, Christianity, or Hinduism, every religion commands its followers many things in common. Few common things from the society are still common in the religious books, but unknown to many people. For instance, drinking of alcohol is prohibited in all religions, but people feel that it is prohibited only in Islam. Similarly, eating of pork (pig meat) is not just prohibited in Islam, but even in Christianity and Hinduism also.

In view of the common commands and beliefs in the 3 major religions of India, i.e., Hinduism, Islam and Christianity, this blog contains few common points across these religions. This ‘comparative religion points’ blog contains the references of these common points (presently 9 points) from the religious books of these three major religions.

Hinduism:
Yajur Veda: 32:3. There is NO COUNTERPART OF HIM whose glory verily is great. In the beginning rose Hiranyagarbha, etc. Let not him harm me, etc. Than whom there is no other born, etc.

Christianity:
Bible: Leviticus 26:1. Ye shall make you NO IDOLS nor graven IMAGE, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.

Islam:
Quran: 2:163. And your God is ONE God: There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

The points at the beginning of this post, just give the references in terms of numbers, etc, and do not give the full quotes (the details are given later in this post) from the verses. So, this way all these points have become a very small paragraph. Hence this compactness can be utilized by copying this whole paragraph in a Smart-Phone. And once done, then on, whenever there is a discussion, these points can be referred from our phone within seconds, for clarifying the whole matter and making peace. In fact, there are lot more things that can be put here, but these points should be enough to clarify the things to a certain extent.

Anyway, thanks for referring this blog. Once you are done, please suggest for any improvements, or any other additional point, etc, by clicking on the 'Comments' below this post. Oneness of God & Prohibition of Idol Worship

(7) Oneness of God & Prohibition of Idol Worship: Detailed Points

Yajur Veda: 32:3. There is NO COUNTERPART OF HIM whose glory verily is great. In the beginning rose Hiranyagarbha, etc. Let not him harm me, etc. Than whom there is no other born, etc.

Yajur Veda: 40:8-9. He hath attained unto the Bright, BODILESS, Woundless, Sinewless, the Pure which evil hath not pierced. Far-sighted, wise, encompassing, he self-existent hath prescribed aims, as propriety demands, unto the everlasting Years. Deep into shade of blinding gloom fall Asambhûti's worshippers. They sink to darkness deeper yet who on Sambhûti are intent.

Rig Veda: 1:164:46. They call him Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni, and he is heavenly nobly-winged Garutmān. To what is ONE, sages give many a title they call it Agni, Yama, Mātariśvan.

Rig Veda: 6:45:16. Praise him who, MATCHLESS and ALONE, was born the Lord of living men,

Upanishad: Khandogya: 6:2:1. 'In the beginning,' my dear, 'there was that only which is, ONE ONLY, WITHOUT A SECOND. Others say, in the beginning there was that only which is not, one only, without a second; and from that which is not, that which is was born.

Upanishad: Shwetashvatara: 6:9. There is no master of his in the world, no ruler of his, not even a sign of him 2. He is the cause, the lord of the lords of the organs 3, and there is of him NEITHER PARENT NOR LORD.

Upanishad: Shwetashvatara: 4:20. His form CANNOT BE SEEN, no one perceives him with the eye. Those 10 who through heart and mind know him thus abiding in the heart, become immortal.

Geeta: 7:20. Others again, DEPRIVED of discrimination by this or that desire, following this or that rite, devote themselves to OTHER GODS, led by their own natures.

Geeta: 10:3. He who knows Me, BIRTHLESS and BEGINNINGLESS, the great Lord of worlds—he, among mortals, is undeluded, he is freed from all sins.

Bible: Leviticus 26:1. Ye shall make you NO IDOLS nor graven IMAGE, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.

Bible: Exodus 20:4. Thou shalt not make unto thee any GRAVEN IMAGE, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Quran: 2:163. And your God is ONE God: There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Quran: 2:255. God! There is NO god but HE, the Living, the Self-subsisting, ETERNAL. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

Quran: 4:171. O People of the Book (Jews and Christians)! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of God aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of God, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in God and His apostles. Say not "TRINITY" : desist: it will be better for you: for God is ONE God: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is God as a Disposer of affairs.

Quran: 7:191. Do they indeed ascribe to Him as PARTNERS things that can create nothing, but are themselves created?

Quran: 16:20. Those whom they invoke BESIDES God create nothing and are themselves created.

Quran: 25:3. Yet have they taken, BESIDES him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control death nor life nor resurrection.

Quran: 112:1-4. Say: He is God, the ONE and ONLY; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is NONE LIKE unto Him.
